Below are answers to common questions about submitting check donations using a mobile device.
I accidentally uploaded the same check twice
If the same check is submitted more than once, our system automatically detects the duplicate.
What happens:
- Only one submission is processed
- Any duplicates are automatically removed
- The donor is not charged more than once
- The check is submitted to the bank a single time
- The duplicate entry should be removed from your fundraising page within a few days
I submitted a check for the wrong amount
If a check is submitted with an incorrect amount, it is flagged for review and corrected automatically.
What happens:
- The check is processed for the correct amount
- Your fundraising total updates to reflect the correct amount
- Changes typically appear on your fundraising page within a few days
- No additional action is needed.
I’m receiving an error when trying to upload a check
Check uploads may fail if the images do not meet processing requirements. Make sure all of the following are true before submitting again:
Photo requirements
- Take photos in landscape orientation (not portrait)
- Use good lighting so all details are clearly visible
- Place the check on a blank, dark surface
- Ensure both front and back images are clear and not blurry
Check requirements
- The check is written in U.S. dollars
- The endorsement uses a dark pen and is legible
- There is no writing crossing through the numbers at the bottom of the check
- The check is flat, with no folds, creases, or bends
Correcting any of the above issues usually resolves upload errors.
Why was my check donation voided?
A check donation may be voided for several reasons, including:
- The check image was unclear or partially cut off
- The same check was already deposited using a mobile device
- Required details could not be verified
