What happens to donations when you transfer to a new event

Donor names do not move from page to page when you transfer events or register for a new event. If you transferred, then the funds will be moved in a lump sum to the new page so that you get credit for those donations. If you would like the donor names to appear on your new page, you can enter them in a post or in News Feed on the new fundraising page.


When you transfer to a new event or register for an additional event, donor names do not move from one fundraising page to another.


How transferred donations are handled

If you transfer events:

  • Your fundraising total moves to the new event page as a single lump sum
  • This ensures you receive credit for the donations you’ve already raised
  • Individual donor names remain on the original fundraising page

This behavior is expected and helps maintain accurate donor records.


How to recognize donors on your new page

If you’d like donor names to appear on your new fundraising page, you can:

  • Add them in a post on your new fundraising page, or
  • Mention them in the News Feed

This is a great way to thank your supporters and share your fundraising progress again.
