The most common reason why a donation is declined is because the billing zip code or security code (CVV) entered does not match the information on file.
Why you may see a pending charge
Even though the card was declined, your bank may show a temporary pending charge. Please know, while the transaction was authorized by your bank, no funds were collected or received. Pending charges typically drop off in 7 - 10 days.
What to do if your card declines
Resubmit your donation using:
- The correct billing zip code
- The correct CVV/security code
- A different card, if needed
You will not be double charged since the original donation was not successful.
