When is the Light the Night Savannah-Southeast GA Event?
The event will take place on Thursday, October 10th, 2024. Here's the schedule:
• 5:30PM: Event festivities begin
• 7:15PM: Opening Ceremony for the Walk
• 7:30PM: Post-Walk festivities begin
• Laser Show Finale will conclude at 8PM.: Event concludes
Where is the Light the Night Savannah-Southeast GA Event held?
The event will be held at The Park at Eastern Wharf

Parking Information: The Park at Eastern Wharf is located along the Savannah River at the east end of the Riverwalk. We are accessible by entrances at General McIntosh Blvd and East President St.
Metered on street parking can be paid at kiosks or by downloading the Park Savannah mobile app, and is enforced from 8AM-8PM Monday through Saturday. Space numbers are listed on the curb next to your parking space.
Parking is also available in the public Eastern Wharf Parking Garage that is located at 301 Passage Way, on the new Eastern Wharf Development. The garage has 696 public spaces available. Daily customers will exit the parking garage using an exit verifier/kiosk which accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa only (NO CASH).
How long is the walk?
The Light the Night Savannah-Southeast GA walk is approximately 1 Mile in total length. This distance is designed to be accessible for participants of various ages and fitness levels.

Will food be provided at the event?
Food for purchase will be available on site. Please bring all forms of payment.

Is the event appropriate for children?
Yes! Light The Night is a multi-generational event! The Kids Zone will feature many different games and activities for children.
Do children need to register?
Children 12 years old and younger do not need to register but must be accompanied by an adult to receive a lantern at the event.
How can I get a lantern?
All registered participants receive a lantern to be picked up at the Lantern Tent at the walk.
How do I get a T-shirt?
All registered participants who raise $100+ on their individual fundraising page will receive a t-shirt that can be picked up at the walk.
What incentives are there for fundraising?
- $1,000 - Bright Lights will receive a long-sleeve shirt and get exclusive access to the VIP Tent at the event
- $100 - Become a Champion for a Cure to receive the official t-shirt
