When is the Light the Night St. Louis Event?

The event will take place on Saturday, October 12. Here's the schedule:

• 5:00 pm: Event festivities begin
• 7:00 pm:

Where is the Light the Night St. Louis Event held?

The event will be held at Forest Park - Cricket Field

Parking Information: PARKING: Parking this year will be at the Berthold Parking Garage (
6228 Berthold Ave, St. Louis, MO 63139
) on Berthold Avenue, along with the Polar Bear Lot (attached to Berthold Parking Garage) and the Penguin Lot (
6212 Oakland Ave, St. Louis, MO 63139
), accessible via Oakland Avenue and also via the Lemar Lot on Berthold Avenue. Access to these parking areas will be marked with signs and can be found at the Hampton exit on Highway 64. We will have additional shuttles available to help move traffic. The visitor lot next to Cricket Field is still first come, first serve, however, we encourage everyone to save those spots for handicapped/ADA parking. We are thankful for the St. Louis Zoo for allowing us to use their lots for Light The Night.

How long is the walk?

The Light the Night St. Louis walk is approximately 1 Mile in total length. This distance is designed to be accessible for participants of various ages and fitness levels.

Is there a bag policy?

Will food be provided at the event?

What happens if it rains on the event day?

The event is rain or shine

Is the event appropriate for children?

Yes! Light The Night is a multi-generational event! The Kids Zone will feature many different games and activities for children.

Do children need to register?

Children 12 years old and younger do not need to register but must be accompanied by an adult to receive a lantern at the event.

How can I get a lantern?

All registered participants receive a lantern to be picked up at the Lantern Tent at the walk.

How do I get a T-shirt?

All registered participants who raise $100+ on their individual fundraising page will receive a t-shirt that can be picked up at the walk.

What incentives are there for fundraising?

  • $1,000 - Bright Lights will receive a long-sleeve shirt and get exclusive access to the VIP Tent at the event
  • $100 - Become a Champion for a Cure to receive the official t-shirt
