When is the Light the Night Manhattan Event?
The event will take place on October 24th, 2024. Here's the schedule:
• 5:30 PM: Event festivities begin
• 7 PM: Opening Ceremony for the Walk
• 7:30 PM: Post-Walk festivities begin
• 8:30 PM: Event concludes
Where is the Light the Night Manhattan Event held?
The event will be held at South Street Seaport, 167 John Street, New York, NY 10038.
Parking Information: By subway: 2, 3, 4, 5, J, Z, M to Fulton St.; A and C to Broadway-Nassau; E to World Trade Center. Walk east on Fulton St. to South St.
By bus: M15 to South Ferry down Second Ave. to Fulton St.
By car: Park at 201 Pearl Parking Corp or Gotham Parking LLC, then walk down to South St.
How long is the walk?
The Light the Night Manhattan walk is approximately 1 Mile in total length. This distance is designed to be accessible for participants of various ages and fitness levels.

Is there a bag policy?
No
Will food be provided at the event?
No outside food is permitted at the event. Please make plans to eat before or after the event.
What happens if it rains on the event day?
The event is rain or shine
Is the event appropriate for children?
Yes! Light The Night is a multi-generational event! The Kids Zone will feature many different games and activities for children.
Do children need to register?
Children 12 years old and younger do not need to register but must be accompanied by an adult to receive a lantern at the event.
How can I get a lantern?
All registered participants receive a lantern to be picked up at the Lantern Tent at the walk.
How do I get a T-shirt?
All registered participants who raise $100+ on their individual fundraising page will receive a t-shirt that can be picked up at the walk.
What incentives are there for fundraising?
- $1,000 - Bright Lights will receive a long-sleeve shirt and get exclusive access to the VIP Tent at the event
- $100 - Become a Champion for a Cure to receive the official t-shirt
