How to Export/Import Addresses from Outlook

Q: How do I import a CSV file on Outlook?

A:  If you are using Outlook, please follow these steps:  In Outlook

1. Click File >> Import and Export
2. Export to a file, click on Next
3. Highlight Comma Separated Values (Windows), click on Next
4. Highlight Contacts, click on Next
5. Browse for an output directory and enter a file name.  Click on Next
6. Click on Finish

In Windows: (If you need help with this part you can email me the CSV file and I'll do it for you.)
1. Locate CSV file
2. Double click to open it (It will open in Excel
3. Delete all columns except for First Name, Last Name and E-mail Address and make sure those columns are in that exact order, and that the Headers are typed exactly as shown here: "First Name"  "Last Name"  "E-mail Address"
4. Clear out any rows that don't have an email address in it or is otherwise corrupt
5. Save

In Etools:
1. Log into your etools fundraising page with the username and password provided
2. Click on ‘Address Book’
3. Click on ‘Import address from Outlook/CSV’
4. Search for and choose your CSV file in the pop up window, click on ‘Open’
